Teaching Problem Solving in Reverse???

Friday, July 12
1:00 - 2:00
Session Room:
214C
Presenter Name:
Laura Espinoza
Presenter Title:
Terrell ISD

We want to teach our students problem-solving techniques, and usually we want them to follow a process or steps, and that is awesome!!! But our early childhood students need some experience in creating their own real-life "story" from a given situation in order to make it "their own" and understand the "why" behind the learning. Students will discover the steps to solve the problem on their own... without just memorizing a certain process.
